Jan Hilger is the Director Operations for Formalwear at ESCADA GmbH in Munich. One of his main activities in 2009 was to help the company go through a very difficult financial situation and survive the preliminary insolvency to the moment of being sold and re-established recently. From 2006 to 2008 Jan Hilger has been the Director of Operations for the Shirt and Neckwear Business at HUGO BOSS in Ticino, Switzerland. From 2002 to 2006 Mr. Hilger held the position of Head of Operations Shirts. From 1997 to 2002 Mr. Hilger held various positions in operations within the HUGO BOSS Group. One of his first responsibilities was the project coordination of the HUGO BOSS Izmir Manufacturing Plant in Turkey where he spent two years between 1999 and 2001. Mr. Hilger is the driver and organizer of the annual HUGO BOSS Ticino Network Forum where business thinkers, industry leaders and visionaries as well as academic institutions meet representatives from the Fashion Industry to exchange ideas and develop and discuss strategies for the Global Apparel Industry. In addition to his responsibility for the Global Shirt and Tie Business of HUGO BOSS, he is involved in the HUGO BOSS Research Network with Global Business Schools and is a frequent guest speaker at Industry Forums and Congresses. Jan attended the University of Applied Sciences in Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Germany, receiving an engineering degree in production technology. While in University, he served as a student consultant in the Steinbeis Transferzentrum program.
He is part of the Imagine - Research for Creative Industries Centre at the Copenhagen Business School.
